Homeschooling for Kids Who Don't Belong In a Box

At KTW, we recognize that learning takes many forms -and that every family’s needs are unique. What all families share is the desire for a safe, supportive space where children can grow, explore, get messy, and connect with the natural world around them.

To meet these diverse needs, we offer three distinct ways to engage. Families can choose one, or any combination that fits their rhythm and interests:

Join Kelly on Tuesdays for Let's Wander, a drop off enrichment program from 9am - 12pm. This child - led opportunity focuses on exploration, emotion and curiosity. Kids follow their interests, engage in hands-on projects, and discover the joy of learning through play and nature.

Winding Path Co-op, our co-created, parent - led  co-op, is a distinct, robust and collaborative community. Join the folks at Winding Path on Wednesday from 9am to 2pm for  a mixed-age, community-centered experience. Children of all ages engage in the natural world, academics, practical skill building, community projects and all forms of experiential learning to create a rich, layered holistic educational journey.

On Thursdays, join our certified, seasoned teacher for mixed age, small group learning.  This drop off from 9am - 12pm is for families looking for more structured learning with peers around core academics and creates an individualized targeted learning experience for ages 5 and up.

Families are welcome to mix and match these options to create a schedule that works best for their children because at KTW, education is as flexible and unique as the learners themselves.

Winding Path Homeschool Co-Op

Our Mission: Building resilient children through connection, curiosity, and community. Providing families with structured guidance, a flexible framework, and collaborative support for learning and growing.

Our Vision: A year-round, rhythm-based learning community where children and families grow in connection with themselves, each other, and the natural world.

Our Goals: We strive to create lasting, systemic change that nurtures a world committed to treating self and others with care. Tolerance, resiliency, and empathy remain cornerstones of our community.

Our Core Values

  • Collaborative Community: Nurturing meaningful relationships between children, families, and the wider community to cultivate support, sustainability, and shared joy. Together we create a rhythm that values flexibility and collective care.

  • Curiosity + Wonderment: Fostering a love of learning through child-led exploration, critical thinking, and open-ended discovery. We honor questions as pathways to growth and see wonder as the heart of education.

  • Creativity: Encouraging imagination, problem-solving, and joyful expression through experiential, hands-on learning. Children are invited to create, build, and explore in ways that reflect their unique perspectives.

  • Resilience: Supporting children in navigating challenges with scaffolding, grace, and confidence. We value the process as much as the outcome, helping learners build inner strength, adaptability, and healthy coping skills through meaningful, purposeful work.

  • Belonging: Cultivating a community where every child and family feels seen, valued, and at home. We honor differences, celebrate connection, and nurture a sense of safety and trust in shared spaces.

  • Practical Wisdom & Stewardship: Developing meaningful skills to care for ourselves, one another, and the natural world. Through purposeful work, mindful practice, and life-skills for real-world living, children learn the art of responsibility, reverence, and contribution.

Enrollment for our teacher-led academic drop-off mornings is currently closed.

KTW Values

Woven throughout all the programs at KTW, we believe in following the curiosity and intuitive nature of our children, leaning into "what if" and "I wonder" as we explore and create, within a strengths-based, whole person, attachment focused setting.

We offer practices of care and wellness that connects emotional development with learning through play and experimentation in a nature-based environment.
