With a seasonal membership, your 6-14 year old will gain experiences and practice life skills within:

We are a community getting intentional about living with the seasons, checking in with the moon, and honoring the ebs and flows of emotion.
Our focus is relationship. Our path is wellness.
Kelly Taxter is a future thinker, creating a wellness community that fosters intuitive living, youth empowerment and family attachment.
Earning her Bachelors of Psychology in 2006 and her Masters of Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2009, Kelly spent 15 years providing intensive in-home, family counseling services. As an LCPC she spent her time reunifying families, exploring relationship & attachment dynamics within a family systems approach. It was this work that prompted Kelly to redirect the focus on how we support our children’s mental health. Her time spent within an adult psychiatric hospital and youth residential treatment facility solidified her desire to offer strengths-based, social-emotional, holistic care for families.
Kelly eventually dropped her clinical license for new labels that felt aligned with her vision. In 2013, she became a trauma informed Certified Wellness Coach and in 2014 added Certified Personal Trainer to her resume.
Kelly’s approach has been called “groundbreaking and thought provoking” and “exactly what my teen and our family needed.” When not serving her in-person and virtual communities, she enjoys wandering the Maine woods and beaches with her husband, two kids and dog.
Mission & Method
My Heart Academy is connection. We need each other. At the Academy, we practice connecting to ourselves and others in ways that feel supportive and fun. We are a community.
Our emergent curriculum is based in emotional regulation, communication (verbal & physical), beliefs of self, body image, navigating friendships & relationships (and more!). We introduce movement & meditation in a way that feels fun & easy, via nature + arts + animals + journaling.
We are a bottom up approach to caring for ourselves. Our community allows not only for the verbal processing (mind) but also the physical release (body). My Heart Academy is soul work.
